Golden Rule

Many religious figures and philosophers have offered in different languages and different ways a single guideline or principle by which to govern the core of human fairness in society:

“do unto others as you would have done unto you” or

“that which is hateful to you, do not do to your neighbor” or

“love your neighbor as yourself.”

Many other traditions, thinkers and sages have stated the same principle in different times and places, from the ancient Greeks and Romans to Chinese philosophers to almost every founder of every other religion.

The Law Office of Bruce Godfrey applies the Golden Rule in its relationships with its clients: we do unto others as we would have done unto us, and that which we would find unfair or offensive if done to ourselves or our families we do not do to any client in any case.  This principle is the core of the Office’s Client Bill of Rights, which is part of all client retainer agreements.

We observe the Golden Rule because it is fundamentally fair and because it is the best path to long-term professional success and practice growth through the referrals from happy clients eager to refer their families, friends and co-workers to our Office’s professional care.
